I would have given this 5 stars, but for the ending. It was such a haunting story, filled with great detail. I really didn't like any of the characters, especially Faith. A part of me feels she got what she deserved. But then after what happened to her, I hated Ryan as well. Two selfish people who managed to destroy each other. Nobody really cared about the kids, or certain decisions would never have been made. There were no heroes or winners in this book, and that was unsatisfying to me. It ended horribly too. But because the storytelling itself was so good, I still had to give 4 stars.

What did I just finish listening to? Faith was not a likable character but what the actual $&@#% was the ending. The narrator made the story worth listening but at times the story seemed never ending. I absolutely did not see the twist coming so 5 stars there but the ending was so horrific. One thing I know I will never do is go to Thailand.
