About this audiobook
When a small plane crash ends with a group of seven teens washed up on a deserted island, their first thought is survival. With supplies dwindling and the fear of being stranded forever becoming more of a reality, they quickly discover that
being the most popular kid in high school doesn’t help when you’re fighting to stay alive.
And when strange and terrifying accidents start to occur all around them, the group realizes that they are being targeted by someone who was on the plane, and that the island isn’t their only danger. A terrible secret from a party the night
before the flight has followed them ashore—and it’s clear that someone is looking for justice. Now survival depends on facing the truth about that party: who was hurt that night, and who let it happen?

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Trigger Warnings (as per note in the front of the book): This book deals with issues including rape, coercive control, and sexual bullyingWhen the private plane carrying a small group of high school students crashes and washes them up on a desert island, they know they need to figure out a survival plan. But as they’re trying to figure out the new hierarchy outside of school, strange and terrifying accidents start to occur and the group realizes it’s one of them doing it. It all seems to revolve around the party that happened the night before their flight - what happened to the person causing these incidents, and who let it happen? This book kept me interested and intrigued throughout the entirety of the novel. It also kept my guessing as to who or what was causing the incidents. I really didn’t see it going in the direction that it went - that’s not a bad thing at all, as I think it’s an important subject to discuss and I’m really excited and proud of the YA novels that tackle these topics.I believe this book is something that should be read by everyone. It really opens the eyes to both the female and male perspective of things; how sometimes one person can look at the situation and not fully see what’s going on. Women and girls deal with these things every day and it still shocks me how little men and boys realize the toxic culture. Biggest example was the boys bringing up that they saw the girl being “all over” the boy earlier that evening and how it wasn’t rape just because she changed her mind… or the horrible nonconsensual sex jokes the boys were sharing at the party This book will hopefully open the doors to discussion with those who read it, as the toxic culture mentioned in the novel is something that needs to be changed.*Thank You Sourcebooks Fire and Edelweiss+ for a digital advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5When a group of teens are returning home from a sports competition, the small plane they are traveling in crashes and seven of them end up on a remote island along the gulf coast.Suffering fairly minor injuries, they are able to apply first aid and access their situation. The story takes an unexpected turn when sinister events start happening on the island to certain individuals and sometimes to a group. The teens decide to hold ‘court’ and find out who the culprit could be.Through this process, the topics of bullying, sexual abuse and alcohol abuse come into play. There is some very frank discussion about these topics that many young people could benefit from. Many thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for allowing me to read an advance copy and give my honest review. I am happy to recommend this young adult book to readers.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Part suspense, a bit like a Survivor episode, maybe a conspiracy, and a healthy dose of consequences as in a morality play. All these are mixed together well to keep you on your toes while going back and forth as to whether this plane crash was an accident, deliberate, or something even more sinister. Read to book to find out because I'm not going to spoil it for you.
