About this audiobook

What the hell is she doing in my strip club?

She wasn’t supposed to be a stripper.

She was the new waitress, but when she got up on stage,

I couldn’t take my eyes off her.

And when she started to strip,

I had to keep my jaw from hitting the damn floor.

Sorry, I’m not touching her.

I’m not the man she once loved.

She has no business being in a place like this—or with a man like me.

She’s pure and innocent, I’ve got more demons than hell itself.

I thought I was prepared for anything.

But nothing prepared me for her.

Now the darkness is closing in, and it’s too late to run.

One night.

That’s all I want.

That’s all I need.

She will carry my baby.

Because only I can protect her.

Even if nothing will protect her from the evil inside me.

Not even myself.

She's daring the devil—What the hell did she think would happen?

(Vorn & April): much better than the previous two "MC" books. While there's not much focus on the MC life as a whole, there is enough to see that they are, in fact, a motorcycle club. Except, I'm not exactly sure how Marlene and Monica are part of the club but they don't ride. ???‍♀️. Anyway, April is a journalist, with a big idea for a story. To go undercover at a strip club and find out who the new leader of "Hell's 7" is. She gets the shock of her life when she finds out who it is. Vorn owns the strip club and is very professional, he doesn't trick the girls and that rule applies to everyone including the MC. Until he sees her, and it's like a blast from the past. It's then he knows that she will be his. This is not an insta romance it's a romance that blossomed through childhood and reignited after years of being apart. The romance is ???? FIRE. Their chemistry is magnetic but even when things are going good, bad things always follow. This book has the elements of danger, sass, comedy and heat. Out of the three MC books that JD has written "Max", "Tyler", and "Vorn" ; "Vorn" is the best.

The male lead is sexy and hot. The female lead has just the right balance of everything. I enjoyed this book. There were a couple of hot scenes that were well written

The story dragged, minimal character development. LOVE LOVE LOVE the narrators, but even they could not save this one.
