A must-read about love in times of hopelessness

When I noticed the book online I was quite interested to see, if the author was able to write a story that captures the current feel of uncertainty in the midst of the pandemic and turn that into a novel that touches my heart.
After enjoying the sneak peek I just had to purchase it … – my, oh my – I finished the whole book the day it arrived. I just couldn’t put it down! By the way, the cover it totally gorgeous!
Julia Summerland’s writing is autobiographic, heartfelt and so personal, that it felt like a casual chat with your bestie.
What I liked the most about the book is the balance between melancholy and hope. On one hand you can feel Julia’s heartache because she has to deal with a bad breakup, on the other hand we can witness the author’s desire for love and the sheer willpower to not surrender.
She truly bares her deepest emotions and I couldn’t wait to find out if she finds love in the end!
An impressive debut, that makes me hope for other releases by the writer!
