About this audiobook

Keyhole Lake has its fair share of oddballs and ne'er-do-wells, but sometimes even good folks do bad things, right? At first, the crimes seem to stem from desperation or teenage rebellion, but when the president of the ladies' auxiliary is busted stealing church funds, Noelle starts to piece together a pattern that points to a much more nefarious - and magical - explanation.

The infractions go from bad to worse, and to add insult to injury, the sheriff - her beau - doesn't believe her.

Though she has a town full of ghosts and a couple powerful witches on her side, the rest of the town - including her talking donkey - is convinced she's off her rocker. After all, "the devil made me do it" is an expression, not an alibi. The stakes skyrocket when one of the people closest to her is found standing over a dead body holding the murder weapon.

The bad guys are about to find out what happens when you mess with southern witch's family, friends, and talking pets, assuming she can stay alive and out of jail long enough to find them.

This paranormal cozy mystery is the third book in the Witches of Keyhole Lake Mysteries series.

Minus 2-Stars for Narration, and a Lack of both Character and Story Depth.

NARRATOR = When I began playing this Book, the Narrator speaks in that halting deliberate manner that I find ultra annoying. It is like the Narrator is concentrating do hard on propner elocution that she speaks haltingly in a monotone voice that just drones on and makes the story difficult to listen to. I almost stopped the book several times.

The story is cute and frivolous, just one of those books you read or listen to on a short flight, during a train ride, or while laying out catching a tan, and likewise, this is the type of book that it does not bother you to put down and walk away from. It’s a sweet book with characters intentionally have sickly sweet southern drawls, and packed with other heavy southern clichés.

I had to look to see if this Author and/or Narrator were the same as in the Lemon Tea Cozy Murders, because the writing style AND Narration are so spot on the same!!
However, while the styles may be the same for both, the Authors and Narrators are both equally different.

As with the Lemon Tea Cup Mysteries Series, I now know to avoid this Series, too! Unless I accidentally stumble upon one of the stories unintentionally.
