About this audiobook

Do it.

Don’t do it.

Never in my life did I think I’d wager in my head whether to sleep with Chicago Grizzlies wide receiver, Damon Siska.

He’s the perfect package—hot body, killer smile, and flirts like he earned a doctorate in it. But anyone who reads gossip blogs knows he is looking for one amazing night and nothing more.

I’m not the usual type of woman he beds. I’m a middle school teacher who cherishes her quiet nights in, drinking wine, and watching romantic comedies, dreaming I’m the heroine. I’m not embarrassed to admit—I want the fairy tale.

But Damon caught me at a weak moment. Fresh off a break-up and feeling lousy about myself, I gave into temptation and left the next morning like every other woman he’d slept with.

Except I walked away with more than just the memories when three weeks later the little white stick glowed with two pink lines.

STORY REVIEW & RATING: 4.5 STARS

Adults adulting properly for the #win Was this story a little easy for the nature of the circumstance that brought Damon & Adeline back into each other’s lives after a one-night-stand? I mean, suuuuuuure, but I’m never going to fault a story for adults behaving in an adult manner! LOL

LISTEN, I experienced this story on the back of a couple of other stories that had one of my least favorite plot devices thrown in and that’s drama for drama’s sake, which incidentally is very common in stories, so the whole time I was listening to this easy breezy #swoonfest, I was waiting for the last minute dramatics but they never came! ??? Round of applause for Piper Rayne, please! ??? Even where there was conflict, there wasn’t. I don’t even know how to explain to you the sheer joy of it all!

Surprise circumstances like those of this story come with an inherent amount of organic conflict and these two lovely authors not only dealt with said conflict in an enjoyable none-twitchy manner, but they didn’t double down with dramatic shenanigans no one wants as part of their romance fiction!

HOWEVER, can we please just stop making decade(s) old drama part of a character’s present day drive in life? Obviously, this is something that each individual reader is going to feel a different way about because our perception on things stems from our environment and our own life circumstances, so this is an absolute me thing right now, but this thing turns a story on a dime for me and I hate it!! LOL Also, why are we writing parents spilling the tea on their kids to their significant others? Is that a thing that happens? *blink*

Anywho, that *however* I just wrote about happened very organically in my opinion and it wasn’t written over-the-top or even overly dramatic at all, which is why even with the thing I hate the most, a huge round of applause for this story is very appropriate! Except for the text. No one gets an applause for that LOL Are we just leaving that out there in the ether…??? *looks around* LOL

PERFORMANCE REVIEW & RATING: 4 STARS

I loooooooooooove me some deep gravely sounding Aiden Snow narration *shivers* and it’s not my first time enjoying him narrating a story and mad props to both him and Stella Hunter for their perfect duet narration! Stella Hunter wasn’t as enthusiastic with her narration as I would have liked and felt very stilted to me compared to other performances, I have experienced by her, but she was spot on with her duet skills!!

Also nice when the playboy finally comes to senses in the end, though I do wish he'd acted on it sooner.

I forgot how much I didn't like the way everyone judged Damon. Throughout the story he never once did anything to make them think he was still a ladies man. Loved how he stepped up and did everything to be there for his daughter and her mother. Aiden Snow was freaking awesome love his narration?
