Mixed feelings on this series.. I love the narrator. The characters are all developed. The storyline is interesting… but there are some MASSIVELY absurd things that take away from it being even semi realistic in places - ie (spoiler free) - Cyrus offers a newly released parolee who’d served a sentence for rape to work at his house… in which evie, the victim of childhood sex abuse lives?!?
(Mild spoiler/happens in the first few chapters)
And his brother goes from a single supervised day release from the psych ward to a 3 day unsurprised wknd stay?
Take away the absurdities and it’s a great story but gahhh!!!

I can’t get enough of Robotham’s Dr. Haven & Evie! This third book in the series was just as well-written and captivating as the first two. We get a deeper understanding of these characters, their lives and how they intersect while also being immersed into a wild “whodunnit”…great work and again, brilliant narration.
