What did I just listened to? This book will keep up on the edge of your seat guessing what’s going on next! The narrators could be better, but it didn’t take from concentrating on the story. Great writing! Love this author!!!

Giving this a 4, because 3.5 isn't an option. Great character development and really drew me in for about the first 2/3. It started to go off the rails shortly after that (think outrageous 80s daytime soap opera), but so well developed at first that I had to finish it Still enjoyed it.

I’ve said it before about this author and I’ll say it again : She. Deserves. Better. Narrators. I’d only just learned of Kiersten Modglin a couple months ago and since then I have been DEVOURING her books. She’s sooooo good!! Her characters are well fleshed-out, her plots have substance, and the details keep you guessing. What’s not good is that most of the narrators that are chosen for her books are terrible. They are either ridiculously stilted or over exaggerated and sound like they’re reading a bedtime story to a toddler. Her books are far too good for narrators that can’t keep up. Hampton’s narrator was particularly terrible. Overall, though, this book kept me guessing until the end and I could not put it down!!! Do yourself a favor and give it a listen, you won’t regret it!
