Another 5-star read from Kiersten Modglin!

This is a story that can make someone who has anxiety about marriage more anxious. The story focuses on the dynamics of a married couple wherein the husband's father died thus making his mother live with him together with his wife and daughter.

Kiersten Modglin laid out the foundations of the story well. The plot twist and the big reveal were unexpected and it was delivered in a very clear way.

DNF. This is my third (and last) book by this author. The first was good, the second bad, and this one is worse. The author misused common phrases, and her work is clearly unedited. The first one I can remember from the book is the main character saying “I wonder what’s gotten up her sleeve.” Other than the bad writing, this was just boring.

I’d choose 4.5 if I could! The whole book was awesome.. the climax was a little bit of a let down, followed by an almost second climax which made the ending all together exciting! I would definitely recommend!!!

Excellent writing, excellent narrators. I loved it, the concept was great and the twists kept coming. The characters were well developed and you felt every emotion and believed it. The female narrator told 98 percent of the story and did a fenominal job. Not sure if the male was necessary but he was good. Not a horror story by any means but a really great story, really well done.

Loves this book. It’s the 1st one I’ve read from this author and I was Pleasantly surprised. My only complaint is the last 30 seconds of the book. I wish It wasn’t there or had more. Something like that. But you still get an ending that is GREAT. I came from Frieda McFadden books (books you may like suggestions!) and I really Really enjoyed the twists and turns and I loved The main male character. Even with his flaws of being a mama’s boy. 10/10 recommend!

[possible teeny spoiler] Wow! I loved this! It was a bit slow in the beginning. I was so terrified something would happen to the dog lol. I had my theories throughout with everything. I guessed right about Lauren's friend. I just didn't know the where. It was certainly a bit twisted. This was really well written and the narrators were fantastic. I found this just looking for Tim Page. I really like his narrations and I've found that looking up my favorite narrators tends to lead to some good stories. Most of the narration for this particular story however was the female (forgot her name). I'll have to check out more from this particular author now.
