I liked it. A well mix of romance and mystery. Although I’m not a fan of very young adults/teenagers as main characters in contemporary novels, the backstory does a tolerable job of showing how things in the past affected the future protagonists.

Boring. Seems like teenage angst is the main focus and every now and then the characters remember they’re supposed to be in a thriller.

I didn't like the novel's main protagonist Maggie. It's very obvious there's something is not right with her 'best friend' but no... she's unbelievably blind and stupid. Also, the book is quite lengthy. It could be shortened maybe by 100 pages if the author didn't dwell too much on looser Clayton. Maybe the author could use that 100 pages to tell us what happened to that manipulative psycho in the end instead? I need a closure! 2.5 stars.

Hemlock by Kiersten Modglin, an audiobook narrated by Brittany Pressley is a wonderful romantic love suspense with psychological thriller elements! And not because there are all love hearts and roses but because there is a connection! The deep, strong, unbelievable connection between characters!
Everyone, who is a fan of Kiersten Modglin, can expect some dark secrets and some unbelievable twists! Up to the very end, I didn't see them twists coming! So many things started to make sense!

What I really love about this book is how the delicate author describes intimacy! You could literally feel that connection like a powerful magnet! Absolutely delicious!
The first thing I did once finished the audiobook - was order a hard copy! I must keep this book forever! I will want to re-read this book soon!

Maggie just bought her first house in her hometown. She is ready to return and start fresh! What she didn't expect was stuck between past love objects Tucker and Clayton! Once all this was messy and Meggie was not ready to reopen those doors again... Unfortunitelly some things were left unresolved and this is the time to get all the answers!

The book is written from nowadays and past perspectives and slowly introduces events and secrets until your jaw drops and all you can do is gasp out loud!
