About this audiobook

Medical student Amy Brenner is spending the night on a locked psychiatric ward. Amy has been dreading her evening working on Ward D, the hospital’s inpatient mental health unit. There are very specific reasons why she never wanted to do this required overnight rotation. Reasons nobody can ever find out. And as the hours tick by, Amy grows increasingly convinced something terrible is happening within these tightly secured walls. When patients and staff start to vanish without a trace, it becomes clear that everyone on the unit is in grave danger. Amy’s worst nightmare was spending the night on Ward D. And now she might never escape.

I definitely enjoyed the book. I wish I could give it a 4.5. There were just some parts at the end with the main character that really annoyed me.

Overall good read. Keeps you guessing and a good break from business books.

I’m probably not the demographic for this book. The character building in the first chapter board me to tears. By the second chapter I was predicting the end. I did not finish this book but if you’re into this kind of predictable thriller, it’s for you.

Excellent book. Turned the protagonist into someone quite unlikable at the end, but it’s still a great book. Definitely will recommend.

The absolute most annoying main character ever and to make her a medical student at that. OOF there is absolutely no way a character with her mentality would have survived med school. Not a fan of this one

I did finish it so I'm giving it 3 stars... I disliked the voice actress and regret not ditching the audiobook and reading it because she ruined a lot of the story for me. I wanted so badly to like this book and I did for some parts... others not so much. Skip it and you won't be missing out.

If I could rate this a 3.5 I would. I was addicted to this audio book for 3 days and needed to know what happened in Ward D. This was the first book to start off my SPOOKY SZN and it did get me in the mood to read more. The twist were not as twisty as I would’ve hoped for and I pretty much had figured it out by the end of the book. Amy’s character was slightly whiny the whole time, but I did enjoy Will character. I do think this is a great light read, and is good for someone who is wanting to start easy in the psychological thriller genre.

I have loved every single one of her books. I'm hooked. On to the next few I haven't read yet. But first, this book had a lot of things you don't see coming, you think its one thing, but nope, but then kind of and on and on.

The suspense level maintained in the book is good. There’s no point at which the story is dull. My main reason for giving a 3.5 star rating is the cliché way that the topic of mental illness is treated. There is little sensitivity towards it in the book, even if the main character is supposed to be a medical student. The ending is also a little underwhelming. Good book if you want to be entertained and not think too much. The book does have a few fun twists.

Epilogue. I thought the main character was an idiot until I got to the end and realize what was happening. I enjoyed the story however, I like this author’s other stories better.

I was waiting this day for so long so first thing in the morning - grab the book! Just so good! so many mixed messages making you guess what the hell is going on! and no, I could not guess what is happening!
it's definitely worth to read/listen this book!
I believe I will reread the epilog to make sure I understand correctly as some questions right now are going around my mind!

the mental health rep in this book is so outdated to the point i hated the plot and everything. even the plot was so easily to piece together and by half of the book, i already predicted what would happen.
