About this audiobook
Gabriel Halldor . . . one of the fiercest warriors the world has ever seen, but his tremendous skill can't save him from a sorcerer's curse. Trapped in stone and left lying in darkness for thousands of years, he is, at long last, brought into the sunlight of a Japanese garden, where a young girl comes to sit at his feet and read him stories as she grows to womanhood.
Hana Himura . . . beloved granddaughter of a Japanese mob boss, raised to the life of a warrior. When death comes for her grandfather, he sends her to the one guardian courageous enough to protect her from a sorcerer who will stop at nothing to have her.
Raphael . . . the most powerful vampire lord on earth, and the only man who can save Gabriel and Hana from an enemy who would enslave them both.
Running from the certain death that awaits them in Japan, Hana and Gabriel flee to Malibu and the vampire lord her grandfather called friend. Raphael is magic and power combined, and Gabriel and Hana will need both if they're going to survive long enough to defeat their enemy and light the flame of desire that's been simmering between them for years.
Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Terrible narrator!!!
Seriously every character that isn’t one of the warriors is apparently a nasally, winey twit according Tor Thom - that is literally the only character voice he has for most characters and it’s so annoying! But this book has been by far the worst so far, as he apparently thinks the nasally twit voice is also one that Raphael should have! and that Cyn should sound like some vapid idiot that talks at half the speed of the average human!! ?
There are thirteen books, THIRTEEN! In the world of Raphael and cyn that these stone warrior books are set in and the guy can’t take two minutes to listen to even a sound bite of what the main characters are like?! In fact scrap that, even if all you have is the context that Raphael is the most powerful vampire lord in the world - in what bloody world would anyone take him seriously if he sounded like a snivelling nasally idiot?! UNREAL!
This is the second time I’ve tried to listen to these stone warrior books, first time I didn’t make it through the first book he annoyed me so much with his narration. But Nicks story is part of the Raphael and Cyn world and I really want to know how it fits in so I’ve forced myself to listen, at times through gritted teeth, this time - but this book where Raphael and Cyn play a big part is just too much. He’s literally ruined the book. Just awful
