But after a handsome cad breaks her heart, she swears off love and devotes her life to teaching girls at a private school. In spite of her family's wish for a London debut, Marcia is happy where she is-until terrible news sends her back to the Brady clan . . . and into the arms of an unexpected suitor.A dark and dashing earl who knows Marcia's past, Duncan Lattimore is surprised by what a fascinating and independent woman she's become. Marcia, too, is surprised-by the fiery attraction she feels for Duncan. But why-why-must he be the brother of the scoundrel who broke her heart? Why must Marcia's rival at school forbid her from seeing him? How can this lady possibly resist this fellow-when they know that it's much more than a hunch . . . ?

When I saw that Innovative was asking for reviewers to host this tour with reviews I jumped at the chance. To have an early copy of a historical romance book felt like a birthday present to me. I love historical romance books and Kieran is one of my favorite authors in this genre. I have read all of Kieran books. With her starting a new series I will try and wait patiently for the rest, however it will be hard. Ok, Kieran I know you can write faster. You should write one word for every step you take on the treadmill. Then you could write 3-4 books a years. I need my regency fix. Sorry I had to get that out of my system. Thanks for all the wonderful books Kieran. I have loved each and every one of them. I hope my review will do justice to this wonderful book. Please be aware that I will not divulge a lot about this book. If I wrote a review like that it would be full of spoilers. Spoilers are not fun for someone who has not read the book nor is it fair to the author. I will write about my feelings and opinions about this book.

Lady Marcia is traveling to her family in Ireland for a wedding. She is being escorted by Lord Chadwick and his brother Mr. Duncan Lattimore. Marcia is smitten with Finn. With Marcia only 15 years old she does not have the knowledge to realize that Finn is a rake. Marcia looks at Finn and sees someone that looks at her as a woman someone that will treat her as an adult. Little does she know that Finn does not care about her age?

You could say that Marcia and Finn had a whirlwind courtship but someone quickly put an end to it. However Duncan was only interested in one item Marcia had.

I know you are wondering what makes this romance different than any other romance book out there. Well, Kieran has made some tough challenges for Marcia to face. Yes, all books in a specific genre have the same plot, it is up to the author to create challenges that will draw readers in. The more different or difficult the challenge the more interested readers will be. Well, Kieran has created some great and interesting challenges. While reading this book I did not just get to relax and release stress from the day, I got carried all the way to Regency England. It was wonderful.

Thanks for such a wonderful read Kieran. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series.

The bunnies and I give this book 4 carrots.

The publisher provided me a copy of this book to read/review for a blog tour.

I chose to read this book as I love historical romance. At the very beginning of the book, I was was completely taken in. The story was very intriguing and had me at the edge of the seat. It had a great introduction to the characters and the set-up was very well done. However, once the story continued, about halfway I felt as if the story just continued. There weren’t a lot of high and low points. I would definitely give 5 stars to the first third to half of the book, and 3 stars to the rest of the book.I did enjoy the story and Lady Marcia was a great character. I loved her spunk and admired her for how she handled her problems. In the beginning I really liked Finn, however, by the end of the book I was completely turned off. I guess if I were Marcia, I would have definitely fallen for him. I also did not love Duncan in the beginning. I completely thought he was arrogant and I was turned off. I don’t know that I was really converted to liking him by the end of the book, but thought he had integrity and things would work out for everyone.
