WE’RE barely into the year and already it feels like it’s a lot. The effects of loadshedding aren’t just about not having electricity – it affects our emotional state too. Having to figure out when to shop, do laundry, cook, care for kids, do hair, work, navigating traffic, ensuring devices are charged. . . the mental gymnastics is exhausting.
I hope you’re acknowledging how taxing it is and giving yourself a hug when you do (better yet, ask a loved one). We’re rushed because of, well, life and we don’t always realise how great of a toll it’s taking.
