About this audiobook

Whatever you do, always give 100%-unless you're donating blood.

My new role is not to be taken lightly, but I don't even know where the hell to start.

I've had to learn to be vulnerable enough to admit when I need help from those that I trust, and right now . . . I need all the help I can get in the oncoming war.

I must gather the Queen's and their armies from all of the realms and pray that we can formulate a plan to destroy Erebus and his dark army for good.

I wasn't ready for this, but I'll be damned if I don't give it my all. There have been too many sacrifices and lives lost, so I could get to this point.

Their deaths will not be in vain. We will be victorious.

Contains mature themes.

The third and final book in the Darkness Rising series was by far the best of the bunch! I enjoyed getting to meet all the various queens of the realms, more of the various gods (some were very funny and some you knew would be trouble with a capital T haha). I loved the way Lana has to adapt to being the new goddess of nature/Mother Nature and how her powers grow as time goes on. I like she wasn't afraid to embrace her gifts her mom left her, sad she didnt get more time with her but it made sense with the storyline and coming of age. I loved the little details added, like the flowers in her hair how they changed. Those kind of little additions might not seem like much but they add more depth and nuances to stories, some of my favorite parts. It means the author was thinking of how to add to the picture they create for us readers, and I greatly appreciate that.

I loved the way the guys stepped up and loved the addition of Ash's powers and twists/turns. I didnt see one of the them coming, it made me happy that he gets a happy ending, not just with the group but with other characters if you know what I mean. The side characters also were fabulous. Like I mentioned before the queens of the other realms and their friends/future loves were another great way to add depth to this world and story. I am not sure if any get their own spinoffs but I can definitely say I want to read more about the shifter queen (give me some sexy tall and broody dragons any day haha). The battle scenes leading up to big one were great, the final showdown was done well. Nothing felt rushed, there wasn't an easy way out that miraculously appeared. The plot was done very well for this debut trilogy by this author.

I think the only thing for me that is holding it back was the audio (see my reviews from the previous 2 books to understand why) but because this plot was sooooo good I didnt hold the rating back to a 4 stars. I would definitely recommend duet narration if using these 2 narrators in the future, but overall they are still good and I will continue to listen to them in the future.

Overall great trilogy and I will definitely be checking out more from this author, especially those audiobooks available to listen on Scribd (which is where I listened to these audiobooks). Definitely would recommend if you like supernatural/fantasy stories and if RH is your jam ❤️
