About this audiobook

Ryder is hiding a dark secret from her coworkers at Midnight Liaisons. Every time she's sexually attracted to a man, her dragon side breaks through. Not exactly man-bait! But she needs to lose her virginity before her twenty-fifth birthday or she'll become a dragon forever.

Her solution? Big, hunky Hugh, the appointed guardian of her chastity. He's clearly hot for her, but he has powerful reasons to resist Ryder. Can temptation-and love-possibly find a way?

    I rate this a 4.5.

The story was excellent and well written. Beautiful imagery, full of flirting, sexy, and amazing word play. Hugh may not lie, but he excels at omitting and sucks at keeping his secrets hidden - even when he doesn't say what they are. Although Ryder could just be that good at reading him. This book was truly enjoyable and the fae prince Finnian was adorably rude and funny to picture in my head. I have heard of changelings before but this is a new interpretation for me. From ugly to beautiful - I was enchanted by her transformation. Her acceptance that she was actually beautiful was breath taking and her attraction to Hugh even more so. Who could not like the wonderfully big, strong cat shifter. Primordial indeed. I hope there are more stories for the other primordials. They are an interesting bunch.

In Wanted: Wild Thing we have a story that continues the series of Midnight Liasons. Now this is a series I fell in love with years ago when the first book came out and I love each story of this series and Jessica Sims AKA Jessica Clare and Jill Myles. Jessica Sims is her PNR name and I love how fresh these books are. Each story we see more into this fabulous series and in Wanted: Wild Thing we see something new happen. We have a new set of paranormal creatures come into play here, ones we haven’t seen yet. Our heroine, is a “changeling” she works at the Midnight Liasons setting up matches between paranormal creatures such as vampires, sirens, and shifters. But she has a secret she has kept from her closest friends, she is a changeling–she is coming upon her 25th birthday, she is still a virgin and not because she wants it. Whenever she gets aroused, her beast from within comes out to play. But she was told from a seer that if she can find her true mate, she won’t transform and once she loses her virginity she can be her normal self. But then a Fae comes in claiming she is his “pet” to do with as he wishes. He brings her a bodyguard, and within a month her transformation will be complete but her bodyguard has to stay by her side at all time. This put a serious kink into her plans. Then we have our hero, Hugh. A big hunky male that is all toughness and muscles. He has never been in the human world before, his kind lives in a fae realm. He has never been around women, and is out of his element when it comes to flirty females. Now this was a story that was so entertaining. I was able to snatch it up from my library’s audiobook system: Hoopla. I want to talk about the narration for a bit. Now I think in the past I have been extremely lucky to have found narrators that I instantly fell in love with. But I will be honest this narrator threw me off for a bit and I had trouble at first adjusting. But eventually she grew on me. I think the southern accent is what threw me off. But after a little while, I grew accustomed to it. What is most fun about this story was seeing the conflict between these two. I loved that they were both virgins (that hardly EVER happens in romances especially in paranormals and contemporary type settings!!) And boy did I love that aspect. Because its orginial and felt fresh and new. This really adds something different to the story because we see how these two really struggle with the chemistry they feel for each other. We see both sides on the conflict. Because Rhyder, wants to be free of her creature, she doesn’t want to be a kept pet by the fae and be breeded all of her existence. She wants love and freedom. The only way to have that is to have sex and there is only one person that has seen her true form and accepted her fully. The only problem is he can’t touch her. The fae has promised that if Rhyder comes into full bloom of her changeling form, than Hugh and his primordial’s (all 24) will be given their mates. None of them have ever known family, love or passion. They just know stark loneliness and living a empty life. He is the leader of must think of his people first. What was most heartbreaking was seeing these two together and how much they truly cared about one another but both were in a tough spot. This conflict is what drives the story and I couldn’t help but fall in love with every aspect of this story. I love the way these two are with each other. Having both of them as virgins, is something that I loved the most about this book. I like that they learn each other on the same level, both have zero experience but they both are passionate and it was quite fun to see the way they come together. This is a PNR that is sweet, fun and highly entertaining. Packed with emotional depth, endearing characters, and a story line to keep you going. Nothing held back in Wanted: Wild Thing. I am eager to see if Sims does more with these Primordial males because dang they sure are sexy and I want more of them.

Review courtesy of All Things Urban FantasyWANTED: WILD THING was a sweet ending to a fun series about a paranormal dating agency. While I wasn’t as thrilled by this one as I was for the previous books it still had its charm and amusing quirky character moments that I’ve come to enjoy in the Midnight Laisions series. Where the previous book featured mostly shifters and vampires WANTED: WILD THING put a bit more emphasis on fairies and revealed the big secret of Ryder, one of the employees of the Midnight Liaisons dating agency. I would have liked to learn a bit more about fae culture but from the fae we meet I don’t think it would be a very nice place to visit. Most of the plot revolves around Ryder trying to get out of being sold into slavery by the fae who have charged Hugh with the task of protecting her chastity. Unfortunately the every perky Ryder who has never been touched due to her fae nature reacting poorly to contact, connected very well with Hugh who has not had much human contact either over the years. I thought the plot of Ryder trying to lose her virginity while Hugh tries to protect it was an okay plot but I didn’t feel that much urgency or tension as it seemed like such an easy and inevitable fix.On the romance front, I liked Hugh and Ryder together. They seemed like a very sweet pair but I didn’t feel any real heat between them. Sure there was romance and I loved that they were able to connect and relate to each other easily but there was just something missing between them for me. I thought Hugh was adorable. Hugh is a very old shifter and seeing him trying to understand modern day quirks was really hilarious especially his understanding of the pizza delivery man.WANTED: WILD THINGS isn’t really that great of a series end though I do wonder if this is actually the end as Jessica Sims’s site says she will be writing another story. The world of this series is what I fell in love with and I really do hope there is one more book or some short stories to feed my appetite for this series. While this book was not great it was sweet and had all of the right elements I loved about the Midnight Liaisons series.

I loved it! But not really surprising since I've enjoyed the previous books in this series. Ryder and Hugh's story is a bit unique. A new supernatural is introduced in this one, a primordial which is what Hugh is. Hugh is definitely off limits to Ryder. She is conflicted but too attracted to stop. Wanted: Wild Thing was an all around fun read and very hot. Ms. Sims is a must read. If you haven't read her books yet, you are missing out.
