I absolutely love Steel and Tech but I just can't re listen to this again no matter how much I want to. It's one of my book pet peeves to have people who can't speak a language speak it.

This whole series is LITERALLY THE BEST THING IVE EVER LISTENED TOO! I love all the couples!!!!! So funny, sweet, then sexy! I'd love to see a Gen and Chris book also! Ugh!!!! So hot! Fyi In GOD we trust! If you read the book you will get it ❤?? But keep going with the other books also. And I swear Aiden Snow could read me a dictionary and id fall in love ❤

Telling story in 3rd person was frustrating, the word God is used every fourth word. Quite literally sometimes 3 times in a sentence. If this book has 90k words, 30k are God. 15k are Day. It’s distracting. Think the fact that the narrator is fantastic helped make the audiobook flow much better.

That said …
It’s a great story, complex and deep. Day & Cash (God) are partners (co workers) for 4 yrs, when they admit they care for each other ….WOW ❤️‍?❤️‍?❤️‍?❤️‍?

Cash’s back story is heart wrenching, and the way his family’s story is weaved in throughout but separate from main storylines just reinforces Cash’s integrity. It’s a little frustrating because he should have told his mom & Gen what happened even if they didn’t believe him, the situation couldn’t have been worse than what he was living with. But everyone deals with trauma differently.

As detectives, they’re a dynamic duo..

This is Day & God’s journey so you can’t expect deep insights into every side character, but the bread crumbs dropped on Johnson & Ro from jump. While the raid was a come to Jesus moment for most of the team, wish there would something extra that pushed the next step. It kind of needed a touch more transition.

Day & God share innate protective qualities. They project almost opposite Cash is fierce, in your face brazen, brute strength, Leo is snarky, laidback, quick witted.

Finally, references we to Pres (Can You See Me) what a treat ?
