About this audiobook
A captivating opposites-attract lesbian romance about a city woman discovering her country heart.
Australian country girl Nina Pellegrini runs a program for city kids to experience a taste of rural life at Banksia Farm. But when a child is hurt and a lawsuit threatens, Nina is determined to find the best legal assistance to help her save the farm.
Enter high-flying lawyer Leigh Willoughby, whose city world is far from the farm's chaotic mix of kids and animals. She certainly doesn't have time for small cases that don't pay or farm visits that wreck her cool-and her clothes.
Still, the warm-hearted Nina and her challenging, twelve-year-old daughter, Phoebe, are awfully hard to say no to. What on earth has she gotten herself into?
Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The blurb describing the boo, frankly, did not grab my interest. But I have been impressed by several of the author’s previous novels, so I started reading. Drawn in by the complex, engaging characters — absent the usual lesbian romance cliches — the story line also intrigued me. A suspicious personal injury claim threatens to destroy a rare urban farm used to educate disadvantaged children in Sydney, Australia about farm animals and agriculture. The brilliant and beautiful young lawyer fighting to save the farm finds her heart is pinging every time she meets with the farm’s owner and director, a woman culturally and spiritually very different than herself. Their movement toward one another results in the slowest U-Haul scenario in lesbian history and a treat for readers.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5My new fav author!
Refreshing. The characters have depth, the stories are engaging with great plots. And doesn’t hurt that the reader has a wonderful timbre and accent - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was smiling the whole time wondering what will happen, then hoping something good will come out of the conversation, the act...I really enjoyed it. Finished within a day. and thank you to the narrator.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I was given this ARC by the publisher in exchange for an Honest Review.Nina owns a farm where she teaches city kids (and kids in general) all about farm life (oh, and the farm is just outside Sydney, Australia I believe). They go and learn how to plant, how to ride ponies, etc. The pony riding is where the problems start. One of the kids, Billy, falls off the pony. And then Stella, his Mom, brings an accident claim against the farm. That's when Nina meets Leight, who Nina thinks is the best lawyer for her in Sydney. There was a ton of back and forth between them from the very beginning, and I have to say that while I didn't love the Leigh character at the beginning, Cheyenne let her character grow in such a way, and gained more and more layers, and so I did start liking her more by the end of the book.I also really liked the character of Phoebe, Nina's daughter, even in her brat scenes. It was a mostly regular sort of lesbian fiction plot-wise, but, the depth and breadth of the characters as well as the compassion that I could feel through the story made it quite an enjoyable read.
