About this audiobook
Simply the Best . . . Pepper Addington can't believe she's moved up from grunt intern to personal assistant for Helene Jolie, the celebrity socialite founder of SimplytheBest.com. Succeeding at the job she worked so hard to get is her only priority. Keep a cynical know-it-all reporter in check? She promises Helene that she can.
Simply Irresistible . . . Expecting nothing but games from the beach-blond surfer girl that Helene Jolie has assigned to keep an eye on her, Alice is fully prepared to resist any and all of California's charms. Or so she thinks.

After all, the issues with which these women struggle--homophobia, mortality, barriers of age and class--are ones we all encounter. More than enjoyable diversions, they can offer humorous insights into how we conduct relationships and truths we can take with us into "real life." Situations may be cliché but not the authors' treatment of them, and no matter how far-fetched the circumstances, the characters' emotional experiences ring true.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I have tried twice now to make it through this book. It is having women acting like men. Staring at the bosses legs under a glass table. And as schoolgirls, complaining and feeling sorry fot themselves. Not a role model in sight anywhere!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Clever characters, touching storyline, and some actual laugh-out-loud writing. As a professional event planner myself, I was impressed by Kallmaker’s ability to authentically represent the chaos and insane amount of detail in that world throughout this book. Bravo.
