- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I'm so happy I decided to listen to this book it was well written. I loved Isla and her growth throughout the book and the ending had me sitting completely still woth my eyes closed while consuming the last 5 chapters
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved this story. Absolutely did not expect the ending. If you like hunger games you'll love this!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I wish there was more but the ending was different
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5it feels like reading a draft of a book, the plot is kinda of good, but the way it is told is not
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is more like 4.5 stars for me because the plot was absolutely amazing! However, the slow burn with no real spice was a tad frustrating. But I would 100% recommend this book. ? and I am excited to read Nightbane next!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fantasy done right, a well developed world where power is pitted against power. I found Lightlark whimsical but filled with heart wrenching deceit. I absolutely adore it!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Hunger games meets fantasy world with magic, a great read for anyone to enjoy!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5La historia me parece original llena de sorpresas y vueltas. Me gusta que la protagonista sea REALMENTE fuerte, estratega y aunque tiene sus toques románticos (y muy necesarios para mantenerme curiosa) el enfoque es sobre el poder de Isla y su propia lucha. Me lleve sorpresas, angustias. Volvería a leerlo para notar esas cosas que no capte en su momento.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I wasn't loving this. I would say the first 25ish chapters are confusing and a bit boring but then it got good and I was hooked.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5buenardo MAL. Mi primer audiolibro y me voy directo al segundo YA
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Read it in just a few days! Couldn’t put it down! Never saw the plot twists coming! Alex is an awesome writer that writes what readers want to read. 5/5
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I Loved it! The ending… definitely didn’t see that one coming.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I tried to give it a try but security ( stick ) that’s the best you could come up with … stick
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5absolute rubbish written with the skill, prowess, and effort of a 12 year old
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Well, I really cannot wait for the next book.Everything gets tied up nicely during that second to last chapter then you turn the page to the last chapter and you're reminded that THIS IS A SERIES! Fuck. Why do you do us like that? But anyway...Lightlark is a wildly enchanting ride!I was quickly swept away into this lush fantasy world full of twists and turns I did not see coming...literally none of them. I was shocked every damn time the plot took a new twist. Typically, I hate when characters are very back and forth with their choices or intentions in a story, but somehow Alex Aster pulled it off without frustrating the crap out of me...these characters are like damn boomerangs so prepare yourself for a bit of whiplash :) Not everything is as it seems.I absolutely loved every single minute I spent reading this book. I am thrilled it exists as I will be reading it over and over again. I think everyone needs to give it a read at some point, you won't be disappointed!HUGE thank you to Amulet Books for the ARC to read and honestly review!
