Cute romcom type short stories. I haven't read 2 of the authors but Melissa Ferguson's was a follow up of a character from her previous book. Which was nice! (You don't have to read the other one to follow this book) I liked the other 2 stories so I will be checking out their other books! Cute quick light reads/listens!

This Time Around contains three romantic short stories. In A Summer Detour, Allie promised her parents she could safely deliver the restored classic Chevy to her grandparents’ anniversary party. But when she is left with no other option than to rely on her ex-boyfriend to help her make the trip, will their rocky past get in the way of keeping her promise? In Pining For You, Theo is called away from a date to attend to the farmer who runs his family’s Christmas tree farm only to discover that Skye, his ex-girlfriend and the farmer’s daughter has returned to town. Theo quickly realizes that he needs to win Skye back, but Skye has some unresolved issues with Theo. Will Skye give Theo a chance to clear the air or will she let her assumptions about him destroy their second chance? And finally in He Loves Me; He Loves Me Not, Sophie is finally ready to date. When she has to choose between handsome and successful lawyer, Landon, and high school football coach, Joe, will she be able to see past her preconceived ideas about both men to find out who is right for her?This was a fun, easy read. Of course with short stories, you don’t have as much time to get to know the characters, and I think I miss that in these, but the stories all had a good a plot. A Summer Detour was my favorite of the three, as it had a little more backstory and the plot just had more going on. But all three stories were clean romances and enjoyable to read. *I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is the sweetest collection of short stories you are going to find. It is the perfect summer read. If you are a fan of love stories, this is the book for you! I read this book in one day...I just couldn't put it down!The book begins with Allie and her ex Luke taking a road trip to deliver her grandparents 57'Chevy. With their bickering back and forth and everything that can go wrong, does go wrong....They soon realize their chemistry still shines thru. This story is called A Summer Detour by Denise Hunter.The second story features feisty Skye and Theo. When Skye's father falls ill and Theo has to go check on his family's tree farm, he finds out that Skye has moved back to help her parents. Theo then decides he will also move back to help. After 14 years and their relationship ending badly...they are forced to work together. Through it all they realize they've never stopped caring for each other. But will that be enough?This story is called Pining for You by Melissa Ferguson.The third story is about Sophie who has a thriving floral business, but decides its time to start dating. Soon she is thrown into a situation with 2 guys fighting for her. This was my favorite story of all! This story is called He Loves Me; He Loves Me Not by Kathleen Fuller.I was lucky enough to win this book from Goodreads. As soon as I finished it, I placed it in my Little Free Library and it flew off the shelf. This is an excellent read!

There is so much to love about This Time Around!It has an eye-catching, charming, and nostalgic cover. Call me weird, but I also use books as accent pieces in my home and on my shelves, and this multi-colored cover is bright and pretty.The book contains short stories from three of my favorite authors. Each writer has a unique quality to their storytelling, but equally entertain and touch the heart.And another reason to love this book is that underlying theme of each story is second chances. Oh, how I love re-dos! I love each part of this anthology, but if I HAD to pick a fav, it’d be Denise Hunter’s A Summer Detour. Seriously though, they’re all great.I received a complimentary e-copy of this book from Netgalley. My review was not influenced.

I loved these three reads and each quickly captured me, to the point I didn't want to leave, but there were more, until the last page was turned.Three of my favorite authors, and three novella's, yes, I was quickly wanting to read!We all make assumptions, and each of these stories let years fall by before the main characters meet again, and we are there to see what happens, and the cause of the separation.Then the reuniting, simple, no. Wait to you read about bring the treasured car to her grandparents, from the moment Allie sits in the restored car. Next, the theorization of what her Dad is being paid after years of service, this has Skye has her hackles up. The final read we have sweet Sophie with no dates for a long time, and within minutes she has two, we get to see which one wins.Don't miss these quick lingering page turners.I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Thomas Nelson, and was not required to give a positive review.
