About this audiobook

Annie Wilkerson is Moose Creek's premiere horse trainer and equine columnist for Montana Living. Money is tight as she tries to put her kid-sister through college and provide for her young nephew. When Annie's column is cancelled, she's given first shot at a new lovelorn column-and she can't afford to turn it down. Only problem is . . . Annie's never been in love.

Always resourceful, she reluctantly strikes a deal with the town's smooth-talking ladies' man Dylan Taylor: She'll work with his ailing horse, Braveheart, if he'll help her answer the reader letters.

Working closely with Dylan is harder than Annie imagined, and she quickly realizes she may have misjudged him. But her unwavering conviction that cowboys are nothing but trouble has kept her heart safe for years. And she can't risk getting hurt now.

The more Annie tries to control things, the more they fall apart. Her feelings are spinning out of control, and her sister's antics are making life increasingly more difficult. Annie knows she needs to turn the reins over to God, but surrender has never come easily.

Annie Wilkerson has her plate full. Trying to support herself, her younger sister, and her four year-old nephew, is no easy task with the income from her job as a horse trainer and the small supplement she gets writing a horse advice column in Montana Living. When the magazine asks Annie to change her column to one on love advice, Annie can't afford to say no. So she reluctantly strikes a deal with Dylan Taylor, she'll help him train his horse that's losing vision if he'll help her on the advice column. While Dylan is thrilled to have an increased opportunity to flirt with Annie, Annie is less than excited. The cowboys in her life have never left anything but trouble in their wake and she doesn't see Dylan being any different.Yet another fluffy Christian romance that I enjoyed quite a bit.

This was a great ending to this "A Big Sky Romance" series. I have enjoyed all three stories very much and this series will be a keeper on my bookshelf. If you like cowboys, spunk, and romance mixed with some timely Godly lessons, then saddle up and enjoy this series.Annie Wilkerson is Mosse Creek's horse trainer and an equine columnist. She is trying to keep her kid sister in college and provide a stable home for her young nephew. Annie's column for the magazine is suddenly cancelled and she is given the opportunity to write a lovelorn column instead; which she can't afford to refuse. The problem is, Annie has never been in love.Enter Dylan Taylor, the town's smooth-talking ladies' man. Dylan has a horse, Braveheart, who is going blind and needs Annie's help to get the horse through it. Annie wants nothing to do with this cowboy, but agrees to help him if he helps her with her love-lorn column. Yep, you can see where this is going can't you. This was a story of thinking you know a person and letting your "pride and prejudice" getting in the way of getting to know that person. A story of learning to let go and let God work in a person's life; surrendering to Him to work things out. I liked the way Annie fought off her feelings for Dylan every step of the way. I grew to like Dylan more after I realized the ordeal he went through in his life that made him shy away from falling in love. It was a fun ride and I may leave this series of books behind, but not forgotten. Saddle up, head to Moose Creek and enjoy getting to know the folks.

“The Trouble with Cowboys” by Denise Hunter is the third book in the Big Sky Romance series. I thought this was a very easy to read novel with all the aspects of a good romance story. Annie Wilkerson lives in Moose Creek, Montana with her sister Sierra and Sierra’s son, Ryder. Both girls grew up with ideas that romance with a cowboy was impossible. They both felt this way because of the life their mother led and the fact that their cowboy father took off and left them. Annie is a horse trainer and is helping Dylan Taylor rehabilitate his blind horse. Of course there is immediate attraction between them, which Annie tries to dispel. She is dating a banker…nice guy, but no sparks. She is also trying to make sure that her little sister, Sierra, stays in school, gets her degree and settles down. There is more to this story than meets the eye, however. Sierra is holding secrets and Annie can’t control her any more. Nor can she control her feelings for the forbidden cowboy. Read this novel and find out the rest of the story.

I received a free print copy of this book for my honest review from the publisher. The opinions expressed here are my own.

I usually like Christian romance, but Annie just really annoyed me for most of the book. She was so judgmental of Dylan that I couldn't believe he was still interested in her by the time she realized that maybe she was wrong about him and her prejudice against every. single. cowboy. The action picked up in the last 50 or so pages, but I'd recommend this one only to die-hard fans of the series, author, or genre. There are better ones out there.

Once I started reading this book I couldn't stop until I finished reading it. I spent the whole book wondering how things were going to turn out. There are also parts of the book that totally shocked me and I never would have seen some of the turns that it took. Parts of it I totally predicted but I was still interested enough to keep reading it.

This was a found read. It also got my emotions for what a surprising ending as well. Dylan and Annie have to struggle with their past to get though. Though Annie is more worried about her sister and nephew more so then what really is bothering her.Though it all though they do find somethings. I suggest if you pick this one up you get some tissues. It reach the value of true love and having faith and letting go. Annie as though things needing to learn though out the book. Dylan need to learn somethings though most of it is Annie needing to learn to trust as well.

Annie Wilkerson know horses and has a column in Montana Living. She hopes to one day pass the column to her baby sister, Sierra, who is taking college courses and raising her young son. Money is tight for Annie but they are making it. Then she receives word that her column was cancelled. They're starting a new lovelorn column and want to give her first chance at it. She can't turn it down 'cause she needs the money, but what does she know about love. Nothing! Dylan Taylor needs help with his treasured horse, Braveheart. Dylan is a flirty cowboy who is nothing but trouble with a capital 'T', but she agrees to work with Braveheart if he helps her with the column. As they spend more time together, Annie begins to see a different side of Dylan. One she didn't expect and it causes her to think she just may have been wrong about him. Annie stirs emotions in Dylan that have not see the light of day in a very long time. Emotions he's not sure he wants to deal with. Will these two wounded hearts be brave enough to let go and trust God with their future?Romantic tension runs high in this last Big Sky Romance. I thoroughly enjoyed all the books in the series but I have to say The Trouble With Cowboys was my favorite. Annie sometimes drove me nuts with her wavering emotions but you couldn't help but like her. Besides, we all know how our emotions can reek havoc. I fell in love with Dylan. His sweet and flirty ways drew me in from the very start. It was absolutely delicious watching Annie and Dylan together, and believe me, I savored every moment! Can you say... yummy? Among the humor and the angst, I appreciated how the author dealt with the real life issues of pride, being judgmental, forgiveness, trusting in the Lord and letting go. Things we all deal with at some point. One thing that really jumped out at me was the message that how you grew up plays a big roll in who you are but it doesn't define your future. That's a huge encouragement for those who struggle with difficult upbringings. Denise Hunter had done it again and The Trouble With Cowboys comes highly recommended. It can be read as a stand alone but you won't want to miss the first two books (A Cowboy's Touch & The Accidental Bride). I'm sorry to see this series end. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Moose Creek and know that I will head back there at some point in the future to revisit the folks I've come to know so well.Paperback: 304 pagesPublisher: Thomas Nelson; Original edition (October 2, 2012)ISBN-10: 1595548033ISBN-13: 978-1595548030*The complimentary copy provided by Thomas Nelson through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*

I don't like that this is the last book in this series. We have to say goodbye to Aunt Lucy and her dolls...love this character. This is Dylan and Annie's story.Annie has had the responsibility of raising her sister Sierra, and her son Ryder, after she promised her Grandfather. Sierra had her son when she was 16, and is now almost finished college thanks to Annie. There were times when I wanted to shake Sierra, but she has her grown up wings on.Annie is now in a relationship with John Oakley....Annie Oakley??? When Dylan Taylor's horse Braveheart goes blind, he is desperate for help. He doesn't want to put him down. Can Annie be the answer? She has a way with horses, but will John put up with her helping? Both girls have problems with Cowboys, there father had been one, and abandoned them. After he left their Mom had brought a lot of cowboys into their lives, none stayed. So in there minds Cowboys are not dependable.I loved the reference to "Smitten", Sawyer's Smitten Concert!! Another great book! Don't miss the sweet conclusion to this great series. Also gift yourself with the other two books in this series. You won't be disappointed.I received this book through Litfuse Publicity Tours and Net Galley, and was not required to give a positive review.
