- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5In true Jude D fashion! This book was everything! I seriously loved it!!! I live for Montgomery/Taggert stories. This was an enjoyable book.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Jude Deveraux is my guilty pleasure. When I need a break from psychological thrillers, I love to read a light romance with a bit of mystery. Jude never disappoints. In this latest Summer Hill installment, Terri is working at the lake, doing all sorts of jobs when she enters her home and finds a man there. Nate Taggert (of the Montgomery / Taggert clan) is tall and handsome, but engaged to perfect Stacy. However, the sexual tension and compatibility between Nate and Terri continues to build until it can't be ignored. Terri won't let anything happen because there are too many rumors in town about her and also about her long lost mother. She doesn't want to give the town any more to talk about, so she won't let her feelings towards Nate grow into more than friendship.Of course, that isn't satisfactory for a Deveraux novel. There must be some conflict, and the Taggerts always get the right girl. Additionally, the mystery of why Terri's mom disappeared so suddenly is solved. A perfect beach read or a perfect book to read when it is freezing cold outside! Either way, a guilty pleasure!#MetHerMatch #JudeDeveraux
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Met Her Match by Jude Deveraux A favorite storyteller. Immediate engagement. Always heart touching. Always sad when it’s over because it was so good. It’s like having a best friend in a book format. This story was lovely, sweet and wonderful. Of course, there is a bunch of worry while it’s all being worked out, but the HEA is worth the angst of the drama. The toy story shopping wish was so touchingly sweet. Loved the whole thing. Wanted to not like the fiancé or the twins but now hoping they get their own HEA.I’m gushing. This author does that to me. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. I purchased a copy to share.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Terri has lived in the small town all of her life & knows all to well how hurtful small town gossip can be. The town has been spreading rumors about her for years. In order to survive in the place she loves, she keeps her head down & runs lakeside resort. Now, her father & his friend are trying to set her up with Nate. Nate who already had a fiancé. Nate was supposed to be spending these three weeks with his fiancé, Stacy. However, she won an internship with an Italian designer so he’s in his own. He thought he was renting the house and Terri might be there. He assumed she was the elderly sister if his uncle’s friend but boy was he wrong. As they spent time together, he became torn between his feelings for the two women. I really liked the plot of this story. In any typical small town, you have the small minded gossips that rarely base anything in total fact. They take one tidbit & it gathers it’s on life with every retelling. The background of this story is the lake & it’s residents - the weekend visitors, the visitors for the entire summer & the year long residents. There’s also the mystery of where Terri’s mother disappeared to years ago. This all makes for a compelling story.
