About this audiobook

Where there's a will. . .

When pretty hairdresser Delaney Shaw returned home to Truly, Idaho, for the reading of her stepfather's will, she planned on paying her respects and getting out of town. But it seems the will has some unexpected stipulations-like the one that says if Delaney wants her inheritance she needs to stay put and have nothing to so with sexy Nick Allegrezza. . .for an entire year!

There's no way

Ten years ago, Nick had swept Delaney off her feet and onto his Harley, and that's when she really let her down her Hair! Back then, he was a love-'em-and-leave-'em man, and Delaney learned the hard way that she was just a fling. But Nick is as irresistible as ever. And when the ladies at Tuesday night Bingo see Nick and Delaney making after-hours whoopee through the window of a local beauty parlor, Delaney knows it's time to decide if Nick I truly, madly the man of her heart.

Author

Rachel Gibson

Rachel Gibson began her fiction career at age sixteen, when she ran her car into the side of a hill, retrieved the bumper, and drove to a parking lot, where she strategically scattered the car’s broken glass all about. She told her parents she’d been the victim of a hit-and-run and they believed her. She’s been making up stories ever since, although she gets paid better for them nowadays.

Great romantic read. Can love find it way through horrible parenting, manipulating, families and old pains ? It will try and try and try again.
This was a beautiful tale of love that was never there and the scars left behind from it. Then the slow rebuilding of ones life even when the influence still tries to control from the grave. One big HEA
    Wonderful audiobook

Another one that was slow to start, but that picked up as it went along. Only two issues I had with it: o.k. I got it; he was Basque. Is that really that big of a deal in Idaho? I'm guessing yes, otherwise, it wouldn't have been mentioned quite so much, but still, at a certain point, I think it no longer needed to be noted. Also, [SPOILER ALERT] after spending the entire book falling in love with Delaney and Nick falling (or, rather, being) in love, I wasn't happy with how abruptly it resolved and then ended. (And I'm not proud about it, but I especially wanted the moms to have some comeuppance.) With that said, I thought the author did a really great job in both setting up the Delaney/Nick history while also allowing them to believably get by it. I just would have liked to see a little bit more. Still, 4 stars.

I thought it would have been a lot better. I didn't care about Delaney and Nick was a very boring character. Nothing really happened except the slow movement of the two characters progressing.

This gets prize for the worse proofing I can ever remember noting on a professionally published book. In the hundred pages of this contemporary romance I pushed myself to read, I noticed two cases of "too" where it should have been "to," "soul" instead of "sole" a "ly" suffix left off twice. I guess I shouldn't necessarily blame the author for shoddy copyediting--I can however blame her for the ludicrous (yet in romance books) cliched plot, where the stipulations of a will are used to force the two romantic protagonists together. All might have been forgiven if the book offered me something--absorbing plot with twists and turns, immersed me in its small-town Idaho setting, striking prose, memorable characters I cared about, made me laugh--anything. But it was just blah, so at the end of Chapter Four and 99 pages I put it down.

suprisingly good read....one of Gibson's best novels; not very humorous...but dark, passionate and revealed a lot of angst. great chemistry between the characters. will read again

i was so bored due to the fact that i live in the countryside and i got snowed in, i decided to try this book,i brought it for £2.99 but didnt expect it to be any good, as id never heard of the author and the cover looked quite cheap...but as they say, NEVER judge a book by the cover! As soon as i started this book,i could NOT put it down,i even missed eastenders to read it! i just couldnt stop reading it, i needed to know what happened and with every page i eagerly waited to find out how it all ended, and i wasnt disapointed! the best book ive read in a long time, altho at times the charactor nick seemed a bit...odd and perverted to me, but still, a really really good book! id recommend it to anybody! just dont start reading it when you have things to do!! as you wont want to stop reading.
