About this audiobook

Scarred by her past, Kerri frequents an elite sex club to experience the intimacy she craves -- and when she comes face-to-face with dangerously sexy Trouble, their explosive chemistry will turn her world upside down... I've been watching you. I feel like I've been watching you forever. It started as revenge. You were a means to an end, a way to pay your father back. To avenge my sister. Her death. Her life. But it turned into something else. An obsession. An addiction. Dangerous. Unwanted. But, maybe, inevitable. And so here we are. I'm sorry, Kerri... I didn't want this. I didn't want to shatter you. But you should know... You make me weak.

Trouble in the Best Way! Great Story & Narration!

~ Colet Abedi continues to wow me with another fantastic novel set in “The Wild Series” and I loved this one as much as I did the first book “Wild”, which was Wylder and Jamie’s story. This book is Wylder’s best friend’s story, Kerri was a secondary and support character in the first book, an intriguing person and one you want to know more about, so I was glad to hear she was getting her own book. Timelines overlap in this book with the first and some scenes may sound familiar, told from another point of view, starting with when Kerri took Wylder to the club, and for good reason, that is the beginning of her mysterious relationship that was mentioned in the first book but never shown. Kerri is a complex person who has been through an ordeal that left her broken, though she hides it very well. She is a perfect example of why you should not judge a book by its cover. There were several surprising reveals in this book, including her reason for going to the sex club and finding out who sent her the initial invite and why. Her mystery man turns out to be nothing but trouble, from the very start. Ian Sutherland, a self-made billionaire, is on a mission of revenge, he too learns you can not judge a book by its cover, he had Kerri all wrong, and she is not the privileged rich girl spoiled by her father as he first thought, she is so much more. Ian is just as broken as Kerri and his need for revenge has consumed his life and that revenge may have cost him the best thing that came into his life. Speaking of consuming, that is exactly what this story was, not only captivating my attention the entire time, but it tugged on my heartstrings too. I loved how everything played out in this wonderfully written and plotted story, a story of forgiveness, learning to let go, love, and live again. Colet Abedi, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

~ And for the fabulous narration, Kerr Lordygan joins Heather Firth to bring these characters and story to life. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, give each a voice that fits that character’s persona and was believable in every role they played. Heather Firth played Kerri’s role with perfection, brought out all the sides of her personality. Kerr Lordygan nailed it as Ian, grasped his bossy alpha-tude, both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projects them in to their performance and had you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the fabulous listen.
