About this audiobook

Best friends reunited… into a marriage of convenience?

Jack and Maddison were best friends growing up, but when Maddison moved to the big city to pursue her dreams, they struggled to stay in touch.

When Maddison returns home after years away, Jack is all grown up and ready to make up for lost time. And so is Maddison… the only trouble is, Jack needs more than a friend. So when she suggests that a marriage of convenience could help Jack save his ranch, it seems like everything is falling into place. Until Jack finds out that Maddison wants a baby.

Their friendship is too important to ruin, but after a night of unexpected passion, everything changes. Because Maddison is pregnant and Jack’s made it clear that their marriage will be one of convenience only. And he never wants to be a dad.

Very sweet and short! Predictable but charming. Could use a touch more heat though.

The back story... The h takes a short time off of work in LA to go home to Montana to see her ailing dad. She meets up with her childhood best friend, the H, and he tells her about the marriage stipulation in his father's will. She suggests that he marry her.

The Romance... I didn't really see it as it was friendship to lust and it was a short story.

The drama explosion... The h gives unwanted news to the H and he freaks out.
Did it feel Real, OK or contrived? Somewhat real
    Was it OTT? Yes
    Separation involved? Not really
Was it resolved properly or rushed? Ok

Final Notes... It was difficult to like the H for me as he would get angry constantly and was a bit aggressive when talking about what he didn't want.

The h lost me with her willingness to give up on what she truly wants in order to marry the H.

    HEA or HFN? HEA

The book was not the thing for me one because of the foul language and other that the narrator spoke so fas like a runaway train. The first few chapter was all I could stand.

I couldn't even make it through 2 chapters, which is unfortunate, as the synopsis sounds like a good story, but the narration was AWFUL. Way too much dramatic inflection, which I believe a great narrator knows when to use, and when not to. This one hasn't figured it out yet.
