About this audiobook

Fiona is a single mother too busy picking up the pieces following her divorce from her criminal husband to worry about men. She's so focused on holding down a job, reigning in her unruly young son, and working on her burgeoning pottery career at her friend Paula's studio that when a carefree, good-looking drifter and fellow ceramics student named Marlow comes into her life, she doesn't put much stock into their fling. After all, he's not exactly marriage material, and a much more capable potential partner, a successful businessman named Carson, has also expressed his interest. Things get even more complicated when an anonymous benefactor begins magically making all of Fiona's financial problems disappear. Eventually, the entire little Pacific Northwest town of Salmon Bay gets caught up in the drama as Fiona feels herself pulled between these two men, all while trying to identify her fairy godmother.

Short feel good story. Easy to dephifer from the beginning , though an enjoyable quick read

DNF - I had to stop at chapter 20. “We could eat healthy food & stargaze…”

I tried, look it’s a nice book. The girls not the smartest cookie & the best factor is 1/10. I think the author was going for a nice story.

This wasn’t a great book. Reading the reviews, you’d think it was the next great classic but it’s really quite pedestrian and the only thing that really stands out is the oddity of it all. The main character must be incredibly dense to not figure out the ‘mystery’ within five minutes flat. I think the narrator also made the cheese factor even worse with her reading of it.

This could easily have been a solid 4 - 4.5 Star story for me but the H's treatment of the H because 'he didn't have money' made me dislike her. If it is once, shame on you, twice, then a 3rd time ripping into him without getting his side of the story was just too much.

I know that it is a 'don't judge a book by its cover' story but she was terrible to him.

I love the beautiful and delicate story of an awesome mother and a beautiful soul.

This was a wonderful modern-day Cinderella story. It is an inerrant truth that the heart mind and experiences of the author are woven deeply and sometimes unintentionally throughout a fictional tale. I should know.

Iris Forester is a new author for me. I liked this book.

I really enjoy Iris Forester's strong female characters, and the complex relationships that she creates. She concentrates on the story and not really on the romance, so the drama is always complex and suspenseful.
