About this audiobook

Captain Jay Roberts knows his mission to infiltrate the isolated province of Neveks is dangerous, but the future of Planet Pavlovan depends on his success. As a telepathic super-soldier, he doesn’t expect the banished Neveks female, Rain Datta—his passport into Neveks—to cause him too much trouble. But Rain’s not playing by his rules, and Jay is in for one hell of a life-changing ride.

Editor's Note

Snarky erotic scifi…

Who knew erotic science fiction could be so snarky? The couple in Kate Pearce’s “Triad” starts as a human and an alien travel together trading sarcastic barbs. Things run their natural course, and soon they’re doing more than talking, eventually joined by a third, who creates their triad. The alien heroine is a foul-mouthed badass, and it’s a pleasure watching her with her two partners.

I think this is my least favorite of this series so far. I had a hard time getting over the use of the word melatonin instead of melanin. I thought maybe the VA mispronounced it and checked the book but nope. It was written like that. The whole transformation thing was odd and could've used more in depth explanation. The VA's accents were also off putting.

The book is fine. I like the characters but I didn't really connect with them. They're pleasant but I don't feel passion of any kind. I'm also a bit disturbed by her transformation...which is kind of brushed off. That could have been a neat thing to explore. But I guess that's more world building and Pearce probably just wanted to get to the plot.

Love the worldbuilding of the series. The first was best but the sixth was a good wrap up.

Rating is purely for scifi romance. I like to categorize silly romance books on their own level. And for this category it was good. Good story and good reader. Steamy and direct, liked it very much.

I don't like the narrator. He's not smooth. The accents are annoying. The female narrator in other books in the series is better.

I really enjoyed this whole series. Not usually my thing but these books drew me in and didn’t let go until I had finished all 6 of them. Will read all books by this author and hopefully enjoy the other series she offers as well. Good job on all the different narrators. (One for each book). The cover on the first book especially didn’t fit with the story so I’m glad that improved. Glad I discovered her on here. I’m new to this app so learning as I go. Happy reading/listening!

It's a bit of Marmite book, some parts are good, some are not so much. The constant insertion of the words "fuck your brains out" becomes rather silly after a while. The story's premise is good and so are the main characters, sadly the writing not so good. First book by this author for me and I'm not sure will listen to another.

    3.3 Stars for me!

This was a fun ride of a story with serious heat spread throughout. I ended up skipping past the M/M scenes as that is not my cup of tea but I know others that love it. Unfortunately Scribd doesn't always show when a book is part of a series so I read the last book first. It looks like each book can be read as a standalone so it didn't affect the enjoyment of the story.

If you like erotica alien romance, this will be a good read/listen for you!
