Griff is an alpha with a softer mindset to other shifter heroes I've read. He's a genuinely good character with the classic cinnamon roll interior. He has the attributes of a real bear with the seasons.
Amy ends up renting a cabin from Griff and she is very cautious of their relationship since she doesn't want to be in the same situation she was in before which made her leave town.

Griff takes a real liking to Amy straight away. After losing his parents and sister he only has his pack to rely on and he doesn't believe in the mate thing. Until Amy. Instantly he knows and he has to remember that she doesn't know anything about their world. Griff has a sweet and funny side to him and you can tell he's arguing back and forth with himself and his actions to make sure he doesn't push Amy away.

Amy's trying to find her passions again but struggles to understand the dangers lurking outside. There's not just one type of shifter out there and not all shifters are good.
