Description

Are you feeling unsure if a masterminds group is for you right now? Kelsey is here to help with that answer this episode by providing three principles for when you should and should not join a masterminds group. She details her pivotal experience joining a mastermind and how she has since used these groups to help her grow her business.  What we’re talking about… Kelsey shares the origin of her friendship with Kathy Heller  Joining Kathy’s rather intimidating Masterminds group  How Kelsey felt supported and pushed by this group which ultimately made her invest time and money into joining a group like this at least once a year Now as she leads her own mastermind group, Kelsey breaks down when to and to join a group like this  When it’s time When there is an education gap — this can be productivity, knowledge, etc. that a simple course of video can’t teach you. Masterminds can provide you with tangible insights from people who have gone through a similar experience as you in their business. When you know you have fully plateaued, despite putting towards actionable efforts. Kelsey shares how talking to and creating entrepreneur friends in these groups can lead to pivots in your business If you are in need of one-on-one guidance. Kelsey shares how this kind of guidance lights a fire for her and gets her moving in her business. However, this kind of education can be more or less helpful depending on personality. Additionally, not all masterminds offer one-on-one support, so know what you’re signing up for beforehand!  When it’s not time  When you don’t plan to make your money back. Kelsey prefaces this can be somewhat controversial, but her logistical mindset wants to know the time and financial investment will have a tangible benefit on the other side.  When you don’t fully trust the coach/leader of the mastermind — the whole course will be built around what they value, which will inevitably guide the whole program. If possible, try to connect with the coach one-on-one beforehand to see if you have similar values and if this is a person you want guiding you through the storm. You are not feeling excited and energized by this. If you're in your stretch zone and feeling like you are working towards a better version of yourself, keep it up. However, if you’re in a fire zone and burnt out, now may not be your time.  If a masterminds group isn’t for you right now, courses can also be a good substitute. Regardless of your personalized next best step, Kelsey reminds us to just keep taking action. Do something that moves you forward!  A {free} Tool or Two!  Did someone say free? Yup that’s right.
