Description
It’s Classified Employee Appreciation Week - a time where we pause to recognize and thank all of our classified employees for the amazing work they do for HSD and our students every day.
Classified staff are instructional assistants, special education assistants, graduation coaches, office managers, bus drivers, transportation assistants, food service workers, custodians, administrative support professionals, facilities and maintenance workers, district office personnel, family outreach liaisons, and more.
The value provided by our classified employees cannot be overstated - they truly keep our schools and systems running! So to all our classified staff: We offer you our sincerest gratitude this week and all year long!
March also marks Women’s History Month. What started back in 1982 as “Women’s History Week,” evolved into the present day month-long celebration in 1995. Annual Presidential proclamations bestow the official designation and encourage us to celebrate the contributions women have made to the United States, and to recognize specific achievements of women in a variety of fields over the course of American history.
