The holidays are shaping up to be quite different this year, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the generosity of spirit the season evokes. Created in 2012 as a way to inspire people to do good, GivingTuesday has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
It is held each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, amid the traditional frenzy of consumer deals and sales. Nonprofit organizations like the Hillsboro Schools Foundation, Community Action Organization, the Oregon Food Bank, and many others are working tirelessly to support HSD students and families, as well as others in need in our community. Please consider a donation to one or more of these organizations and/or a direct sponsorship of an HSD family this Tuesday and beyond. Thank you!
