The Hillsboro School District is extending its Spring Break in accordance with the Governor’s order that schools across the state of Oregon close between Monday, March 16th, and Tuesday, March 31st. Students will be expected back in school on Wednesday, April 1st, unless further guidance is provided. Meals will be available to all children ages 1-18 at a variety of sites around the District each day this week, as well as on Monday and Tuesday, March 30th and 31st. On Monday, March 16th, the meal will be lunch only, but every other day the meal will include breakfast and lunch items. Distribution times are 10 a.m. for elementary school students, 11 a.m. for middle school students, and noon for high school students. Children must be present to receive a meal. At this time, the District will not be implementing distance learning; however, a distance learning plan may be implemented if the closure lasts beyond March 31st.
