It can be easy to feel guilty or unproductive when we take time to simply be still and rest.

But it's so important to remember that rest is an essential part of our wellbeing,

And it is not a luxury,

But a necessity.

When we rest, 

We allow ourselves to recharge and rejuvenate,

To connect with our inner selves,

And to find the peace and stillness we need to navigate the world around us.

PAUSE (5 SEC)...

Rest is not a sign of weakness,

But of strength.

It takes courage to slow down,

To let go of the need to constantly be doing, and to simply be present in the moment.

PAUSE (10 SEC)...

I invite you to allow yourself to fully embrace it.

Sink into the softness of your bed,

Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin,

Or simply close your eyes and breathe deeply.

Let go of all the worries and stresses of the day,

And allow yourself to be fully present in the moment.

PAUSE (10 SEC)...

When you rest, you are doing something incredibly important:

You are taking care of yourself.

PAUSE (10 SEC)...

So embrace the stillness,

Find the peace and quiet you need,

And allow yourself to fully recharge and rejuvenate.
