More about Dr. Jennifer Cheavens: Jennifer (Jen) Cheavens is a Professor of Psychology at the Ohio State University and author of a new textbook, The Science and Application of Positive Psychology. Jen completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at James Madison University and her Master's degree in Experimental Psychology from Old Dominion University - both with Arlene!! During the completion of her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Kansas, Jen studies ways to increase hope and incorporate hope into psychological interventions. Jen completed her internship, post-doctoral fellowship, and first faculty position at Duke University Medical School. In her current role, she teaches classes, works with undergraduate and graduate students, and studies positive psychology as well as disorders of emotion dysregulation, including Borderline Personality Disorder.
