It's easy to fall into the trap of being a consume-first athlete. Endurance sports requires specific gear based on the discipline, your goals, and the conditions that you expect. But outside of these tight windows, there's plenty of gear within arm's reach that you simply no longer use. Well some of it may be unsuitable for sharing, the vast majority would be an incredible resource for someone new, or someone in need.   But it doesn't just have to be equipment. After all, time is your most valuable resource. Scan the local event calendar to find a race that could benefit from volunteers. Run an aid station, help with registration, pay it forward. The heart of endurance sports is the grassroots fine cultivated by independent race, directors and incredible volunteers.
