Your mental capacity and power to think positively is crucial and necessary as is your prep. So if you struggle to maintain a positive mindset, this episode will teach you how to do that. In this episode, Dana shares about having the right mindset in the sport. She couples that with strategies she used on her way up to Nationals. Finally, we dive deep into the power of journaling and meditation to strengthen your mind. Dana Cannon is a personal trainer and nutrition consultant as well as a posing coach. The 28-year-old, youth strength and conditioning coach, has been competing for the past one year. She got her Pro Card at the NPC National Championships 2019, where she placed 1st in her category. Obtaining her pro card wearing an afro, Dana is recognized as the first woman to do so and has paved the way for other females to be unapologetically themselves.
