LSU cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. has only played in ten games with the Tigers in the past two seasons. But his freshman year in LSU's national championship season was enough to keep NFL scouts interested and his performance at LSU's Pro Day on Wednesday put the entire league on watch.

Stingley ran a 4.37 unofficial 40 and a 4.44 official dash, putting his speed up there among the top cornerbacks in the league along with Stephon Gilmore, Xavien Howard, and Jalen Ramsey. His physical ability isn't the only attractive quality to NFL coaches – his determination and hunger caught the eye of Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley. While the Chargers pick at 17 could be in play for Stingley in the 2022 NFL Draft, many analysts predict Derek Stingley Jr. to be a top 15 overall pick.
