What exactly are the Houston Texans getting in their first pick of the Draft? Derek Stingley Jr. may be coming off of injury but even in 2019 as a true freshman Stingley emerged as one of the best defensive players in college football. He allowed fewer than 40 percent of passes when targeted that year and played an integral role in the national championship season. The Houston Texans are rebuilding and looking to get younger and they look to Stingley Jr. to be a foundation and a building block of Lovie Smith's new and (ideally) improved team.

Finally, LSU basketball signs a four-star recruit in Jalen Reed who originally signed with the Florida Gators yet de-committed when head coach Mike White left Gainesville to coach for the Georgia Bulldogs. Tigers head basketball coach Matt McMahon now has nine of thirteen allotted scholarship spots filled, and with a program with so much uncertainty surrounding its future, is a huge testament to the kind of coach he is.
