As an #AgileFacilitator, one of the most important qualities you can have is #neutrality. Without #neutrality, you can lose the #trust of your #team, and the #decisions you make, as well as your relationships. So, how do you maintain this #essential, a vital part of #facilitation?

Change your #mindset. Just like with any form of #Agile, changing your #mindset is #essential to achieving #neutrality. Start thinking as a group, using words like we rather than I. Make #decisions as a group, and think about how you can all work together to #achieve goals. This can help set your mind where it needs to be to make team-centric decisions, rather than cultivating an "us vs. them" mentality.

Listen to your #team, and #understand their motivations. Especially when balancing the needs of the #team, you need to #understand all of your #team members to strike a #neutral balance. You don't want to be giving one person all the work, or favoring another without realizing it. Especially when you are receiving #constructivefeedback, it is absolutely vital to listen and absorb what your #team is saying.

If you find yourself losing #neutrality, as for advice from the #team. Open yourself to #constructivefeedback, and ensure that you can receive the information you need to reach a state of #neutrality. Nobody will notice your biases better than your #team-- but you probably already know that.
