Description

In this podcast, I discuss Recovery, Heart Rate Variability, Improving the Aerobic System, and What it Fitness Really is… With two main takeaways:  If you are the person who goes to train and you run yourself into a wall every single time. Feels like you got a good workout, and you sweat. I want to ask you how long have you been doing that? After your initial progress, have you seen any sustainable gains in your fitness? The answer is probably no. And I’d challenge you to work on sustaining your power output over time. Do aerobic work! It’s easy. Go outside and walk for an hour. Or jog for 20-30 minutes...AT A SUSTAINABLE power output. Don’t over complicate the aerobic system. And don’t try and cheat it either. Like I said earlier...Unfortunately, the aerobic system takes time (a lot of time) to develop. No quick fix on this one. No scientific shortcut or new 6-min training system that can make up for putting in easy, long duration work.
