Introduction To The Pareto Principle

Economist, Vilfredo Pareto, discovered that 80% of the land in Italy was owned by 20% of the population. In his further research, he observed that this pattern was replicated across Europe. The Pareto principle was derived from this observation of the uneven distribution of wealth. This is still true today and is even worse. According to PolitiFact, the wealth of the 400 wealthiest Americans is more than half of the wealth of all Americans combined! Things might not change any time soon because most of these people inherited their wealth and will still pass it on to their children and families, and so it will continue.
