Introduction
Chapter 1: Framework
Ihave been active in many different areas of interest throughout my life. I have had many careers.
I have a computer science degree. I have written 10 books on real estate investing. I was very active in sports, having been a gymnast, bodybuilder, and tennis player. I know a lot about nutrition and have lost a lot of weight fast. I have had several businesses. Some successful. Some failed. I know a lot about Internet marketing. I have raised several millions of dollars for various investment ventures. I have read over 1,000 books on personal development, business, sales, marketing, finance, investing, health and nutrition.
People kept telling me that I needed to focus. I always thought that there was something wrong with me because I was constantly thinking about all these different interests and even more. Then I realized something.
These interests are all related.
They are all intertwined. For example, it’s hard to have a successful life if you are up every night watching television, eating pizza, and drinking beer. Now, maybe some people may see that the ability for them to be able to do that is a success. So if that’s what success means to them, then all the power to them. But I don’t think you are like them. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be reading a book on how to live the Ultimate Life.
Part of living your Ultimate Life is determining what your Ultimate Life will look like. And it also has to do with understanding where you need the most work. What area of your life do you need to work on the most?
So what I have done is I have developed the Ultimate Life Framework that ties everything together. Here are the different areas of your Ultimate Life that you will need to focus on.
A screen shot of a computer screen Description automatically generated1. Foundation Stage - Health
Your Ultimate Life needs a good foundation. This means you need to be mentally, physically, and spiritually fit. You need to work on your mind (think); your body (fitness); and your soul (feelings). You need to make sure that your body and mind are in tip-top shape and that you are putting the right fuel into them. Just like a car needs a good body and the right fuel.
Think: To be mentally fit you have to be careful about what you put into your mind. You have to be careful about what you read and watch on TV and make sure you are exposing yourself to the right information at all times. This is very tricky in today’s society of social media, which is also where everyone seems to be an expert giving you their expert advice.
Fitness: How energized do you think you would be if you sat around and watched TV all day? That’s what a lot of people do. They sit at their desk at work all day and then come home and plop themselves on their favorite chair in front of the TV or their computer or their phone where they surf TikTok, YouTube, or Facebook. You need to make sure you get a certain amount of exercise each day and that you are consuming the right types of food and the right amounts of food.
Feeling: How do you feel about yourself? Do you like yourself? Are you constantly putting yourself down or are you giving yourself gratitude regularly? Do you perform daily rituals such as affirmations? For some people that may also mean prayer or meditation. It’s important to feed your inner self and to also treat other people with kindness.
2. Growth Stage - Wealth
The next area of your Ultimate Life is wealth. Wealth is about how you make your money and where you invest it.
Earn: what is it that you want to do to earn money? Some people want to be an entrepreneur and some people want to work for someone else. Either one is OK, as long as that’s what you want to do. Running a business is a difficult thing to do and requires a lot of energy and business intelligence. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you are an entrepreneur if all you are doing is the same work but with your own company name on it.
Investments: Most people today have no idea where to invest their money. The good news is that there are a lot of people out there who can show you where to invest your money. The bad news is that most of those financial advisors are broke. Do you want to invest in stocks, bonds, real estate, land, etc? There are lots of opportunities for you to do so. You need to take the time to understand what’s available to you so you can make the right choices for yourself. Ultimately, you are looking for financial freedom.
3. Success Stage - Self
The final level of your Ultimate Life is how you think and act towards yourself and others.
Individual Self: What does success mean to you? This level of success is about achieving the ultimate level of success for YOU. It’s setting the highest goals possible and achieving them. Have you ever heard of someone who is a multi-millionaire, who runs marathons every other month and is working on curing cancer?
You want to set your goals so high that you really have to stretch to achieve them. Not just lose 50 pounds, but place first in a local body-building contest. Not just earn $1M, but earn a salary of $1M and a net worth of $100M.
Social Self: What can you achieve socially? Are you an excellent husband/wife, father/mother, brother/sister, friend, member of society? Maybe you want to help out in your community or sit on a board of directors. What about social events? Maybe you want to be a member of a local social club. Maybe you want to travel. The alternative to all this is to sit at home watching TV, eating pizza, and drinking beer (FYI, I’ve done a lot of this when I was younger).
The concept behind this framework is that it’s a lot easier to achieve your self-goals if you have reached your wealth goals and by practicing your health goals.
You may see a similarity between this framework and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. The big difference is that the Ultimate Life Framework is more practical in its application as you will see in the next sections and chapters.
I also feel that you only have to focus on the areas where you need the most help. I guess this makes sense. But for those specific areas, you will need to make a much bigger effort so I am currently writing several books to help you with each specific area of the framework that I just mentioned.
Chapter 2: Your Ultimate Life
Life NOW
The User’s Guide on How to Build Your Ultimate Life and Achieve Everything You Ever Wanted Out of Life.
Preface
Most people give up on life because they get lazy. They stop trying so hard. They become comfortable and complacent.
YOUR Ultimate Life will be different than anyone else’s. It will be influenced by your wants, desires, and beliefs. It will be influenced by your upbringing and your social interactions. It will be influenced by your friends, your family, your business acquaintances, and all the other people around you. These people who have influenced your life in some way ... big or small. It could have even been a single event or a traumatic event that you experienced, but you didn’t realize that it influenced you.
Your Ultimate Life may also be influenced by your limiting beliefs and the negative thoughts that you may have developed over the years as a result of the people and events who have helped influence you. Again, you probably don’t even know that you have some of these limiting beliefs or maybe you know you have them but don’t know how to get rid of them.
However, if you have limiting beliefs, those beliefs need to be identified and dealt with as part of your journey, and as soon as possible. Limiting beliefs can mean the difference between being a multi-millionaire and a bum. For example, what if you have been told all your life that you would never amount to anything and you now have a limiting belief that this is true? Becoming a multi-millionaire might be a stretch while having that belief.
When you set out to define your Ultimate Life for the rest of your life, it doesn’t matter if you’re 18 or 80. It just means you will have different goals and different activities. It is still your Ultimate Life. Someone who is 80 may not be able to become the head of surgery at a hospital, especially if they aren’t even a doctor.
Your Ultimate Life is all about living your life without limitations so that you will achieve everything you want to achieve and be all that you were meant to be. To suck everything out of each and every day and to live life to the fullest.
Living your Ultimate Life means that your actions are congruent with your thoughts. It means that you will achieve results beyond your wildest dreams. Dreams that you never thought were possible. Well, at least, not until now. Because you are about to realize that anything is possible if you believe in it strongly enough and with enough conviction and purpose.
A lot of people go through life never realizing their dreams. They grow old with regrets. They die with their song still in them.
They live lives of quiet desperation.
What they don’t realize is that it’s not their fault. There are too many external influencers pushing them in the wrong direction. Influencers such as society, education, diet, and exercise. These wrong influencers cause decisions that initiate activities, and many times these are destructive activities.
At what point in their life did some people give up? At what point did they just say
I GIVE UP
Most people can’t answer that question because it wasn’t a moment in time when they made that decision. It was a gradual slip that slowly resulted in the situation. All those influencers took over and they just couldn’t deal with it anymore. They got comfortable.
Life is what happens to you when you are busy making plans.
John Lennon
The following are just some examples of how people give up.
I'm going to be fat for the rest of my life. I’ll just live with it.
I hate my job but it’s a good job so I’m going to work there until I retire, then I’ll enjoy my life.
I have a nice job making $40K per year ... that’s all I really need.
Now, these people may not have actually said these things, or consciously admitted them, but somewhere along the line, a lot of people have made
