Finally, Betty could not take it anymore. She was brewing mad. In a fit of rage she stole a key to her ex-husband’s house from her daughter and acquired a gun. She went over to his house located in the expensive Marston Hills neighborhood early one morning. She surreptitiously went inside through a back door. The security system at the home was not working.  She quietly crept up the stairs to their bedroom. She then shot dead her ex-husband and his new young wife shattering the quiet of Sunday morning. She then left the scene after tearing the phone out of the wall to prevent them from calling authorities.   The same day she turned herself into the police as they had her as the prime suspect for the double homicide. Thus, began a complex and extraordinary story and then murder trial
