          Whether it was Ronald Reagan taking over the Presidency, the movie ET The Extraterrestrial,  the launch of the Space Shuttle or even the collapse of the Soviet Union, the 1980’s were an exciting decade.  That decade seem to have it all. It was not only great to experience but just as good to look back and reflect on. During that time frame an investment group was formed by an ambitious youthful Joe Hunt in California. The group consisted of wealthy individuals from prominent families from that state.  They became known as the Billionaire Boys Club and the club’s adventure into the world of financial gain made quite an elaborate story. A story that still resonates with the public, the media and Hollywood even today and played a prominent role in defining the decade of the 1980’s.

          Joe Hunt (then Joe Gamsky) grew up in modest means in Van Nuys, California.  His Father was a hypnotist and Joe, bright and academic  attended an expensive prestigious private academy. The academy was full of students from elite high profile families in the community who drove Rolls Royce cars and lived in large mansions.  Joe, who attended the school on a scholarship because it was too expensive for his family to afford was one of the few students who actually walked to school. He was known amongst his classmates as less than popular and was quite studious. He was on the debate team but was caught falsifying
