  Every now and then a specific story rises to the forefront of the news.  The case seems to have a network of variables that are controversial, significant and the media and public seem interested in every sense of the word.  On occasion these cases are so profound that when they are processed in the courts that regular programing is bypassed so live feeds of court proceedings can be displayed on prime time television.  The O.J Simpson case was one of the these cases  as well as the California based Betty Broderick divorce, the resignation of President Nixon and the assassination of President Kennedy.  The cases involving the Murdaugh family in the state of South Carolina appears to fit this exclusive and prominent profile.
