    It was the early days of April, a melancholic evening draped in sweltering heat and heavy humidity. Aimlessly, we wandered the streets for what felt like an eternity, our steps weighed down by the oppressive atmosphere. Eventually, weary from our aimless meandering, we sought refuge in the comforting embrace of a coffee house nestled in Connaught Place.

    Inside, the bustling world outside seemed distant as we settled into the lounge, the air filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Amidst the frantic pace of passersby hurrying on their way, we found ourselves enveloped in a rare sense of leisure, with time stretching endlessly before us. As we sat, we indulged in three cups of coffee, using conversation as a means to fill the void of purposeless wandering.

    With each sip, memories intertwined with the bittersweet taste of the coffee, creating a sense of nostalgia and longing. The moments we shared, the laughter, and even the unspoken words found resonance in the shared experience of those three cups of coffee.

    His name was Amardeep, yet to me, he was simply Amar, a name that held a special place in my heart, evoking a sense of warmth and familiarity amidst life's uncertainties.

    As I sipped the first cup prepared according to his preference, the familiar warmth of the coffee offered solace amidst the humid evening. However, as he poured hot water into the cup for the second round, his hand paused mid-air, a question lingering on his lips.

    Would you like milk? he inquired, his gaze searching mine.

    I gently halted his motion with a gesture and replied, No milk for me.

    Nor sugar, I assume? he probed further.
