    We, humans, are known for our predictability. We cannot alter nor change that. It is engrained in our primal brain. From the moment we are born, we take in information from our surroundings and shape our neural pathways, thus creating our personality. If you’d like to know more about someone’s personality, ask them about their earliest years, relationships with their parents, and early traumas. This information can give you immense insight into the deepest parts of their subconscious.

    The subconscious is one with your emotions; when you get emotional, it takes over your thoughts, actions, and interpretation of events.

    The dichotomy of control is learning how to let go of emotions, and take control of your subconscious, when you have no control over the event that’s causing them. It’s one of the main principles of Stoicism. Practicing it, you’ll make yourself less prone to bad habits and negative thoughts; you’ll feel more present and less stressed.

    WHY WOULD YOU STRESS over something that’s not in your control? I don’t understand why my grandpa watches the news all the time. He’s constantly thinking and worrying about politics and prices, but he can’t, nor will he, do anything about those things. The same thing fascinates me about people who know every single TikTok trend or every single shoe on the market, along with its price. Is that information going to help their well-being? No. It’s just taking up those few bits of active memory their brain has available and rendering them useless for the rest of the day, or even life.

    Be careful of the content you consume; social media is more addictive than any drug known to humankind. Those large companies are spending MILIONS on research into human psychology. Why? The brain we have now is no different than the one our ancestors had millions of years ago. You’re controllable and manipulative. You stand no chance in today’s world. They use it against you every day; you’re even making it easier for them by willingly consuming the poison they distribute.

    Everything you use or do is an exchange of value. Do you really think the people behind the mask are giving you social media for free? Did they seriously spend countless hours developing it just to give it away? NO! By giving you something for free, they are creating more value for themselves because YOU will spend more time on their app, allowing THEM to monetize off
