I couldn’t believe that I was staring at a dragon.

No, scratch that. I couldn’t believe that I was staring at a dragon that Alex was sitting on. Even from here, I could see how Herobrine still had Alex in his clutches. My friend was possessed and now was on the back of a dragon.

The panic that filled the village was almost as loud as the dragon itself. There were alarms ringing and people screaming. Yet the dragon didn’t pay them any attention. It was focused on us. Alex being possessed by Herobrine pointed at me.

Crush them and then the village. He said.

The dragon tilted its head back and roared. The ground shuddered. The dragon then brought its tail down against the ground. It smashed into the house behind it. The house crumbled instantly, spilling rocks and other debris along the road.

We have to stop this thing! I exclaimed.

Some guards were approaching the dragon – the bravest of the guards – and tried to take care of it. But their arrows bounced off the dragon’s scales. The dragon turned around and his tail struck the group. They went toppling backwards. The dragon pushed off the ground and was in the air.

David gripped my arm, That thing is going to destroy the entire village.

Alex is still on the back of that beast! We can’t hurt him!

Everyone was trying to flee the village now. People kept bumping into us and it didn’t take long for David and I to be separated. I had no idea where Margery was. I hoped that she was trying to help the villagers.

David was swallowed by the crowd. I watched the dragon sail through the sky. It opened its mouth yet instead of a roar, it breathed fire. The fire struck the nearest house and it burst into flames. This was quickly getting out of hand. At this rate, there wouldn’t be anything left to save.

But in any case, the dragon needed to be stopped and Alex had to be saved. I weaved my way through the crowd, which was pushing against me, as I tried to get closer to the dragon. How was I going to take this thing down and make sure Alex was okay?

The fire was spreading quickly. The homes were going up in flames. I saw an arrow soar through the sky and bounce off the dragon’s head. I followed it to see David on a roof, holding his bow. What was he trying to do?

Then I realized: the scales weren’t bothered by his arrows. But the dragon wouldn’t like taking an arrow to the eye, would it?

But that shot was impossible. Did David truly think he could make that shot? If I could get the dragon closer…

The dragon had noticed me, probably because I
