CALL CENTRE TIMES BOOK 3 POEMS

(the call centre world as experienced by Brian a tenured German BPO rep who lives and works in Asia)

    Dollars Not Items

    And so it happened again

The client came over from New Zealand

The support ran about like kids

Grabbing baseball caps and t shirts

    Keeping them for themselves

Like the previous caps and tops

    All those months ago

    The reps looked on silently

    Their eyes seeing all things

    Remembering knowing accepting

This is the way your support is

TLs and managers getting the wanga

Not a single one for the reps

What of my sale for Friday?

We'll fight for that his TL said

Your sale today you keep the cash

The client gave you from his wallet

Would you rather have cash or snacks?

You've a point there TL the cash

    I'll keep the cash thanx

    The male secretary asked him

Does he want to swap the dollars

    For Thai currency?

No Brian said he'll frame it

His 10 dollars has a story

A result from his 3 user sale

Given to him by the client

    Nobody will spend it

    It's going on the wall

    In a Perspex frame

Screw the snacks caps and tops!

Let the support have them all

    Ball Itch

    In the call centre

    A rep asked his pal

    Who should get Jock Itch?

    Both had it before

The other 2 reps looked puzzled

    Then one understood

    And said Ball Itch

Yes who wants Ball Itch next?

Not I retorted the older rep

The younger one can have it then

I put apple cider vinegar on it

The rep that had it before said

    It took the itching away

    Better than 300 peso cortisone

We'll call you the Vinegar Joe

    His mate laughed

    I used peroxide and cream

When they had a meeting with TL

    The rep asked the TL

    Who'll get Jock Itch next?

    We both had it

    Now it's their turn

    All were unanimous

    The younger one gets it

    Crizzle Grizzle

Mamasan was in a foul mood

Shouting at 3/4s of a team

They were all silent and forlorn

    Her words washed over
